The Project
The building was originally a picture house built in 1910, completely demolished and replaced with a brand new multi-use development (Essoldo House), located at 279 Kings Road, Chelsea. The building is a mixture of retails units (located on the ground floor), 3 No. screen cinema and one, two and three bedroom apartments on the upper floors.

The Work
Following the shell and core services contract, in which A F Connell Ltd were employed to carry out the landlords, corridor and underground car park services to Essoldo House, they were then also appointed to undertake the design, install, testing and commissioning of all the mechanical, electrical and plumbing services in the fit-out phase of this project.
The mechanical installations include full heat recovery fresh air ventilation systems to the apartments via ceiling concealed fancoil units (providing both heating and cooling), domestic hot and cold water services to the kitchens and bathrooms and above ground drainage services. Electrical services include small power and CAT 6A data, high grade lighting systems, smoke detection and fire alarm systems. The project was completed in April 2019, on programme and within budget.
